Cube sting questions

Hi . Does anyone here have any opinions about the cube sting 29 pro?
I'm looking at it to replace an old Scott ransom that has gotten too maintenance heavy because of its unique unswapable rear shock and the sting pro seems to be a good replacement with the exception that the frame is 7005 alu compared to the ransom's 6061.
Has anyone ridden it here and is the lower grade aluminium affect any handling compared to a conventional 6061?

Have you tried asking TF Tuned or Mojo if they can sort your shock?Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

As for the grade of aluminium, I doubt you will notice any difference.I don't do smileys.

isn't 7005 harder to work with and therefore more expensive than 6061 anyway?coiler - http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1463278/

The grade of aluminium is much less important than the design of the frame. A well designed frame in a lower grade material can be lighter, stronger and stiffer than a less well designed frame made from a higher grade.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Thanks for the advice . In the end the cube was too heavy so instead i bought a spesh camber instead which is lighter but suitable for general trail runsSpecialized Camber
