Frome/Warminster to Salisbury Commute Route Suggestions?

Looking to start cycling to work a couple of times a week, in an effort to get some extra miles under the belt.

I've got Sustrans route 24 to get me there easily and unmuddied.

But are there any locals with suggestions on an off road way back? Any suggestions greatly appreciated; quite new to the area, and my exploring hasn't taken me too far from Longleat and Horningsham.

Hi, you can pick up the Great Ridge at Waterditchampton, Wilton and follow it almost to Sutton Veny - but a large part is through a very boring conifer forest. You'll then have to cross the A303. I wouldn't want to that in the dark but in daylight it's just a matter of waiting patiently for a gap in the traffic. Good luck.
