... and if so, how do you think it holds up in the "Holmsain" world?

BTW, I've liked Jonny Lee in about everything he's done...

Yes. The wife watches it, I don't think much of it. Then again, I didn't enjoy the latest series of Holmes on the BBC either (having enjoyed the previous series a lot). I think I might be fed up with TV in general as I can't be bothered watching anything much other than sport these days.

Best thing on tv by a mile ...

Clever, subtle, well acted and paced ... and nowhere near the smugness of the BBC effort ...

It's good but it's not the best.

I take it you've not seen True Detective yet? Pretty much the best thing to have been shown on TV in the last decade. Even better than Countryfile!

JLM is masterful in it and I have a soft spot for Lucy Liu (well its' not always soft ;) )

Yep love it. Lucy Lui 45!!!!!!
  • JLM is great in this, really enjoy it although I don't really associate with being Sherlock Holmes, just an enjoyable detective series in it's own right. Lucy Lui is proper fit although it appears she suffered from rickets as a child, seems to be very bow legged!
