When I mount my shifters (sram x9) on the handlebars, the gear up lever touches the handle bar. Any remedies for this?
Is it as simple as changing the mount to the other way?

I have X9 shifters that I have used with standard mounts and MatchMakers and the levers easily clear the handle bar.
The mounts can only go on one way (with a choice of two positions).
Are yours touching the bar or the grips?

    Hi,
I'm building a bike at the moment and have just fitted the shifter - I get the same thing - the gear lever touches the grips - I'm going to sort it out later but did you solve the problem?

It is as simple as this - I rotated mine 180 deg and it gives better clearance.
