I have decided that the best thing I could do to my legendary new acquisition is to re-spray it and bring it back to it's former glory.
Anyone had a C40 re-sprayed and by whom?
Might do it in Mapei colours, suggestions (pics please).

Cheers

Wow, tall order for anyone to replicate the Mapei colours. I have a Colnago that was beautifully resprayed by Neil at Atlantic Boulevard so that's where I would start.

Have you asked Colnago if they will do you a re-spray ?

I got a Trek re-sprayed at Argos in Bristol. It was perfect.

I had my Colnago refinished by Atlantic Boulevard about 10 years ago - recommended. Argos couldn't give a stuff
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yep, after someone on here had said they had a Colnago C40 resprayed by Colnago. I e-mailed them and they said they don't offer that service.

@Monty - how much? PM me if you don't want to disclose the figure.

I've had a couple of frames re-finished by Atlantic Boulevard - price depends a lot on the complexity of the finish but they were both in the region of £300.
Alternatively, try contacting Mike Perry at Maestro - he gets his Colnagos via their Benelux distributor who buys bare frames from Italy and gets them refinished in Belgium. He used to offer a refinishing service.

Skunkworx do some amazing paintjobs, guessing not cheap but for something like the Mapei scheme, they would be my first choice...
