Hi All
Just washing my bike and I noticed a tiny amount of play in the bottom bracket when I try moving the crank arms in and out, on the spec list for the bike it says the BB is Shimano, Octalink spline, cartridge bearing, 73mm as I'm new to this it doesn't mean a lot to me.
Is there any that can be done to the BB or is it take it out and put a new one in?
I've been looking on Chain Reaction for something the same would this be what I'm looking for http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/shim ... -prod34653
A couple of pic of the bike.
Any advise would be fantastic.

Yes but you need to check the spline length - will be on the tech docs on Shimano's website.I don't do smileys.

Thanks for the reply Cooldad.
When you say spline length is that just where the pedals fit on the splines or the overall length of the shaft running the BB that the pedals fit on, all a little new to me??0 -
The overall length. It is specific to the crankset.I don't do smileys.

IF it is an octalink they you will need to find out what the axle length is. Same if it is a square taper.
