You are at the police station reporting the theft of two unattended bicycles.

You are at the hospital suffering a heart attack from thinking you need large amounts of saturated animal fat to assist your health :D

Behind the camera taking the picture! Eh!
  • All correct. Apart from the caravan. Camps Bay to be specific.

I hope the refreshment stops are well stocked as I only have enough carry on food to get to the first one.

Clearly you have missed the box full of homemade muesli bars. 70 percent carb, higher than anything you can buy commercially.

And, this is South Africa. I fully expect boerewors rolls and mielie pap at the rest stops.

Dried apple, prunes, and bananas are 88-90% carbs, dried peaches and apricots are 83%, raisins are 79%, and dates are around 75% add these to your muesli mix to raise your percentages :D

You're taking part in the Cape Argus Ride, enjoy.

    It's on my wish-list !

Definitely worth the trip. I can honestly say it was awesome. The route passes through a number of towns and the roads were lined with thousands of people cheering, clapping, playing music etc.

35,000 participants, seamless organisation, stunning scenery, great roads. We will be back again and again.

We were doing it for the first time and it greatly exceeded our expectations.

How many days worth of food is that? Could you stop somewhere tomorrow and restock?
  • Looks like you're taking pictures when you could be riding...
  • No idea where it is, looks nice though.

What really catches my eye is it appears the bike on the left is being held up by a tiny panda.

    :D

You are close but it is actually an Aghulas Penguin. They are indigenous to the area, but are an endangered species and are therefore protected.

As a protected species they are being offered gainful, albeit low paid work as bicycle guardians. It's a bit like being on YTS I am told.
