Can I pair 105 crank arm with Ultegra crankset

I'm thinking about buying Stages. It's quite cheap but not that cheap 
So I thought I would go for the Stages Shimano 105 (5700) even though I ride the Ultegra (6700). Is it ok to pair the left crank arm (105) with the Ultegra crankset?

I did exactly this (mostly because the 105 Stages was the only one I could get). It fits perfectly (of course) though it doesn't match colour wise. That said, the Stages crank arm only weighs 13g more than the Ultegra 6700 arm that came off.
