Links help. The Coyote looks ok except for the really rubbish fork.
The Claude Butler has a marginally better (but still rubbish) fork but lower spec bits.
Of the two I'd take the Coyote, but...I don't do smileys.

....but have you looked at the offerings at Decathlon? Likely to do better there.0

Had a look on decathlon and not really any bikes tickling my fancy but thanks for the suggestions0 -
Depends whether you want them to tickle you or you to ride them, neither is going to be much good off road with those forks.
Calibre two.two from go outdoors is much better for the same moneyCurrently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -

Both are terrible compared to the Decathlon Rockrider and Calibre two.two.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
As above really but I also think you may be better just going to your local Halfords rather than those 2. That said CB looks alright.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

I was just using those websites as examples, now i dont know whether to get a bike or not, most of the people ive mentioned it to have been trying to put me off getting one full stop, and im just not sure what to get, i dont want to spend a fortune but then i dont want a pile of crap ..0

Yes, it's not easy as the quality does vary & they all look more or less the same TBH. I think Halfords really is good value these days if you don't like the Rockriders at Decathalon. Other option is used off ebay.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

I think im going to get the coyote, ive found it brand new for £229 while the next cheapest is around £299 upwards. Only problem is im completly baffled as its only availble in 26in wheels and 22in frame im just under six foot will this suit me0

The wheel size isn't an issue (26inch is still standard), its only the frame size you need to worry about. Could fit you but I'd go on the manufacturers website, ask in the shop & try it if possible - important to get it right.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

I'd have a look for a second hand bike as you would get a much better bike, you will get a much nicer spec bike,0

Its a pretty bad bike and the 22" frame is very big. Im 6'1" and thats far too big for me. It's bigger than my extra large frame.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
