Hello all
Cycle to work scheme £500 (Evans use only)to spend for a bike to be used ,in Swinley Forrest on the trails and getting to and from the Forrest.Thinking of a Pinnacle Ramin One for £500 and then that leaves £150 for kit-would this be acceptable for an out of shape middle aged newbie?

Depends on the fork, if it's Hydraulic lockout (so has a damper) it's OK, if not it's poor.
Too be honest you'd get better value for money elsewhere even allowing for the cycle to work saving, Especially once you have factored in the final transfer cost (which Evans are a bit hazy about in their FAQ).Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Trek 4700D reduced to just about £500 is a much better option than the Pinnacle if you must stick to Evans.
