How do I know which bottom bracket I need?

As above I have a small amount of play in my bottom bracket and it will need replacing at some point. Question is where can i find out what size I need? It's a 2008 Trek 1200. Thanks

    Any TREK dealership should know if you don't get answer on here.

    Its going to be a cartridge of 68mm type i would say. Your axle length is probably 110mm, or thereabouts. Measure to make sure. British Standard. Straightforward to fit too.
