Nice, I wouldn't mind 'another Trek,' they're top bikes Build it yourself or did you just change the wheels/brake pads?0

I love it, its a joy to ride.
The shop swapped out the saddle free of charge as the paradigm fits my arse better. Yup, I changed the wheel set (bontragers are now on missus's bike) and blocks myself. Other than that it's an off the peg build.0 -
Another good looking Domane. I quite like the colourways Trek is coming up with now. Apparently the Domane is proving very popular and they can sell as many as they can make at the moment. I expect if Cancellera has another season like last then even more will be riding them.0

Yep that Domane would be my first choice on buying a new bike at the moment. I've ended up with the CR1 because it's a similar concept!0

Cool fair play to the LBS White on the Fulcrums works well with the logo YOu got some brownie point with the stock wheels then I hope Thanks0 -
I really like these. Nice color way, but for all the bike genius and tech in the latest Domane and Madone's (and I love mine more than my wife); why in the name of holy pen1s do they persist with the world's most rubbish font for the brand name. They'd shift even more of them if they branded in either shadow; or perhaps changed the font to something like Wingdings (although that will probably be a 700 quid ProjectOne option at some point).
You might want to either get the strap or cable tie down the charging / battery light port block thingy under you're stem at some point.
I was considering one of these as a winter bike, but got a deal on an AiR. My arris is not thanking me, and I suspect that I missed the point of a comfortable winter / commuter hack. Thinking about, you also got 6870; which is about a zillion time better than the 6770. Bugg*r it.Dry - 2015 Parlee ESX
Wet - 2013 Madone 7 Series
Commuting & general abuse - Boardman AIR9.2s
Carbon and electric everything. I've yet to get zapped and nothings melted (yet anyway)0 -
Yeah, Ive not been a massive fan of trek colour schemes in the past but when I saw this I thought "bingo".stongle wrote:You might want to either get the strap or cable tie down the charging / battery light port block thingy under you're stem at some point.
I did wonder about this.... Its currently a bit untidy. How is the little box usually attached to the bottom of the stem?0 -

If its the same as the DA9070, there s/b a little elastic rubber strap and littles notches on the box. The strap / notches are rubbish, and lasted a few hundred km's. Cable ties are you friend. The unsightly knobly bit of the tie at the bottom out of sight. I use 2 on mine, no issues since.Dry - 2015 Parlee ESX

Ta.. there's no obvious bits on the box which indicates it can be strapped to the stem (i.e. rubber things). I'll give it a go and be creative with some zip ties.0

Lovely bike
I have the black and grey one and it has completely transformed my riding. I had no idea a road bike could be so comfy. Oh and Di2 is the nuts.
Just getting some Mavic cosmic 40`s for it as well.
How do you like the paradigm ? I`m on the standard saddle and quite like it. Not as comfy as my Van Nicholas, or my B17, but neither are going on the Trek. Quite fancied the Paradigm, but it was some price if I remember correctly.Trek,,,, too cool for school ,, apparently0 -
The paradigm is good for me..... Because it fits my arse
My LBS tried loads of seats during a CycleFit to find one that didn't irritate the undercaridge, this one out of other bontragers and fizik saddles was the most comfortable.
I think the RLs are about 90 quid. RXLs are much more expensive.0 -

Nice Domane, I'm absolutely loving mine at the mo. Perfect for the UK roads.
I tried the Paradigm, its very similar to a SpeshToupe, just couldn't get on with it. I now have the new RXL Serano....oh golly gosh its amazing !! Its completely changed my ride, I just don't think about the saddle at all whilst riding, I did 5 hours last weekend and it was awesome. Its a very similar shape to a Fizik Arione if thats your bag.

Nice colour scheme. Would have loved to give project one a go but couldn't afford any more.
I suppose thats why its so difficult to find a suitable saddle, everyone's backside is different so one person's recommendation isnt necessarily suitable for the next bloke.0 -
On my second Trek and completely satisfied with my new Domane 4.3, comfortable, fast, stable, great club and long ride bike.0

The geo is just awful, whoever fitted you on that needs shooting. Massive headtube, a tonne of spacers and ridiculous amount of seatpost showing on a compact frame.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0
-
Like the arty shots...0
-
I thought large amounts of seattube was the style these days?0

Changed mine to tubeless today. Proper saga, but it feels so different even on a first short ride. Am pleased.
Also treated it to a Paradigm Rxxxl. Got a fright in the wallet, but ooooh ! it feels lovely.
Well chuffed.
Will need to sort out pics eventually.Trek,,,, too cool for school ,, apparently0 -

I never thought I would get a white bike, but I really like it. That said, I prefer the colours of the 5.9 - just a bit out of my price range!
Get my 4.7 on Saturday, changing the bar tape to Black just because I hate how easy the white grabs muck How do the Bontrager Race wheels fare? Ive got a set of Askium's sat in the garage.0 -
Forgive me for asking a very boring question about a lovely looking bike, but what's the clearance for mudguards like on a domane? I'm considering a 4 or 5 series for a LEJOG later this year, but it'll need to be able to take some roadracers at least.0

That color scheme is almost exactly the same as the one I entered into the Project One competition! Beautiful bike.

I have no idea what's going on here.0 -

I think you would struggle with sks chromoplastics as theres only 5-6mm clearance at the back with 25mm tyres. Cruds and 23mm may work but you'd need to check with someone whos tried.0
