Replacement for 9-speed Shimano Tiagra GS
Hi, I have a 2009 Shimano Tiagra GS 9-speed rear derailleur and have lost one of the jockey wheels after one of the bolts came loose; is it worth replacing the jockey wheels (if so, which type/model?) or should I replace the rear derailleur - if so is any 9-speed GS/medium cage suitable?
Many thanks

Thanks Semantik, Short Cage (SS) or Medium Cage (GS) - I used to have 11-26, now have 11-28? (50/34 on front)0

I have used a ss cage Sora rear mech on a 28 sprocket and it worked ok.Medium cage technically what works best.0

But if he's also lost the bolt he won't be able to attach one of them. Doubt the bolt is available as a spare part. Suppose he might find a scrap rear mech on Ebay?
I'm thinking a new rear mech may be quicker and easier if less environmentally friendly0 -
http://www.petracycles.co.uk/ stock all sorts of shimano spare parts
If you replace just the jockey wheels i'd stick with some shimano ones - aftermarket ones tend to be pretty dire in my experience
Shimano tech docs list the bolt as M5 x 13.35mm

Petra have a 14mm:

search for "pulley bolt" and lots of listed, I couldn't see an exact match but the above should work fine
they sell shimano jockey wheels for £5 or less too0 -
if you can get a mech for £15, prob just do that0

Thanks for the advice guys, ended up getting a 105 rear derailleur - I hope to slowly upgrade over the next few months0
