The delivery fairy let me down badly so it will only be here tomorrow. Should be a very quick job to swap everything from the carbon frame. Looking forward to seeing the finished bike, will post some pics as soon as she is built.

Doubletap shifter? Isn't that off of the dark, lycra clad side?

Yep, and it's also the best shifting I have ever used. Works brilliantly with my 1x10 set up.

Fair enough! Does it work like a normal shifter or is it the same as the road ones, ie one lever you push a little bit to change up, push harder to change down? I have doubletap on my road bike and I love it.

Exactly the same as the road levers, I have no idea why Sram have not released a MTB version.

A while since I did an update for the Ti 456, made a few changes and have a few more planned. Stem is now a Renthal Apex and bars are the On-One Knuckleball carbon, a great combo and the bars are noticeably stiffer than the Kinesis Struts they replace. Swapped the chainring for a doval, oval, narrow/wide, I use Doval rings on my road bikes and TT bike and like them so I am giving the MTB version a go. Swapped the Easton Haven wheelset for a set of Superstar Carbon AM wheels, the SS wheels are a bit lighter and the hubs will be easier to maintain and I am keen to find out if the fabled ride quality of carbon rims is real, as for their tubeless capabilities, they inflated first time and the bead snapped into place with a very load , reassuring twang, quick pavement test and the bike does fell lively but I will report after a proper ride. Also fitted a new Specialized SLR trigger style remote lever to my KS post which works great and looks super sleek. Oh, I also swapped the Saint brake levers for a set of dinky Xt's. I have a Kashima CSU with upgraded internals to fit to my forks and also going to replace the red chain for a Gold KMC model.

    Cheers :)
Knuckleball bars seem superb for the money, got the 747mm , hard version for the princely sum of £39 !!!! Super stiff, light and seem well made. Even at the current price of £59 they are well worth it.

Looks superb, is there a noticeable difference between the carbon 456 frame and the Ti one?

Both frames are basically the same weight and geo, biggest single difference is comfort, the carbon version is a great frame but it has a very stiff and direct rear end which makes itself felt over the rough stuff, the Ti version is very comfortable and feels more dynamic as a bike. The Ti rear end really does its job. Made a couple of changes since last pics, fitted a pair of the new 2015 2.35inch Nobby Nics Trail star Snakeskin tyres, they're as big as my old Hans Dampfs yet nearly 400grams per tyre lighter !!!!!! Yet they do not feel flimsy like the Nobby Nics of old and they roll very well for such a large volume knobbly tyre, I am so impressed by their performance that I have ordered another pair for my Cannondale. I am swapping the x-type middleburn R8's for a set of burlier e thirteen trs + crank arms along with a bb386evo ceramic bottom bracket, always loved the look of the e thirteen chainsets so when I saw a set for a silly price I could not resist. Finally I am going to swap the Fox 34 CTD evolution fork for a Fox 34 CTD Fit trail adjust Kashima version as they feel better than the Evolution version. Pics when I have some.

Here she is with the new ethirteen chainset and FSA MegaEvo 386 ceramic BB fitted, also took the red chain off as it was looking tired, replaced it with a Sram Pc1090.
