Pffft. Easy.
... taken the day after it flipped me over the bars, leaving me with a broken T6.
...waits to be trumped...Sometimes parts break. Sometimes you crash. Sometimes it’s your fault.0 -
Pffft, you call those holes? I can see the bottom...0

Didn't hit it (or more accurately fallen down it), but saw a veritable moon crater on Rookery Road on Clapham Common this morning. Will try and get a pic next time I pass.
ETA: seems to have been filled, which is good. The rest of North Street is however still the worst bit of tarmac I know in London.1985 Mercian King of Mercia - work in progress (Hah! Who am I kidding?)

That's a pretty standard size one for Bucks. Saw/dodged at least 3 worse than that on my 20 mile ride over lunch today. The really bad ones will still have water in them!!!0 -

indeed though hitting them on a road bike or at least one with narrow tyres has the potental to end badly, its the awkwardly placed ones I don't like.
there is one on Hampton Court road in the cycle lane I hate, its not that big but its in the wrong place.0 -
As they say in South Africa, hayibo!
also why i only owned a mountain bike when i lived in SA0 -
a hole like those are considered buttery smooth tarmac in these parts

This thread just shows how crap the roads of Britain are and that we can all easily find some terrible potholes to photograph
It reminds me of Majorca last year and where it took me 11 miles of riding before I saw my first pothole and it was a small enough one that could have been ridden through. I doubt there are many roads around me where I could even ride for a couple of miles before having to avoid a pothole! :evil:0 -

There's one just outside Marsh Gibbon Service Station on the Bicester Road that's not just as big as a dinner plate but could probably accommodate the whole dinner service + butler. Reported, via the usual channels.0

Heading through Turville towards Marlow the whole road surface is breaking up, massive holes with cones in them to protect cars!
Water is still draining off the fields and through the roads!Allez 2013

There's a bit of a Bucks theme developing here. Are we the only ones to have suffered from the pothole deluge?

+1, these shots all look like most of my commute. It was too wet to show off the worst holes (looked like you could see the bottom), but I thought I'd show off what passes for a cycle facility in these parts:

You need to up your game, nice bit of mud washed onto it for good measure

I spotted a repair team out on Brewood Road, between Coven and Brewood in Staffordshire. I think they only do one hole at a time because when I next rode along that stretch there were three patches of repair, but at least ten other more deadly potholes in sight. To err is human, but to make a real balls up takes a super computer.0

That has to be Wiltshire. Only place I ride where the canal towpath is smoother than the road.
