Accident Northumberland Avenue, WC2 today

I see the street is still closed and has been for several hours now. Anyone know what happened? Did it involve a cyclist?

    according to the SCR thread this may have been a motorbike incident. dreadful business anyway.

    This looked like a motorbike accident - bike on its side in middle of road.
    Also red blanket over what looked like a body - looked quite grim...

    It was a motorbike on it's side in the central reservation, a red blanket over a body, looked fatal. very sad.

    Police signs now up asking for information regarding the fatal collision last week. Saw the aftermath and the motorbike on it's side, but not any other vehicle.
