frame repairs

Hi,
I'm after a bicycle repairer that could put some kind of insert in a mtb frame to repair the thread in a bottom bracket that is is almost non existent in a steel frame. I've got a quote from Argos but at £120 seems quite a lot.
Can anyone recommend any other frame renovators please?
Cheers

"These BB's won't work on mountain bikes, as their standard width (73mm) is too wide for the shell to expand"
Badly written as most MTB's use 68mm BB shells (73mm is not standard - retards!) and this will work fine, a few have 73mm and it won't.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
