Broken teeth
Shifting was feeling abit rough so checked cassette & found 4 teeth have broken off it and a few others are damaged. They are all missing from 4 different sprockets but in a row inwards from the smallest one up. damaged ones are nearby the next toorh along from the missing ones.
Ordered a new casette but dunno how the teeth can just break off casette sprockets like that?
It was a less that 1 year old 8 speed shimano casette other teeth don't have hardly any wear as have being replacing chains & trying to keep it clean etc.
*Not hyperglide just broken off completely leaving jagged stumps.

I was expecting to see something like this.0

Could the wheel have fallen against something solid when it's been off the bike? Hard to see how that could happen in normal use unless somebody's deliberately damaged it.0

Are you sure the teeth are broken? - Often they are profiled that way to aid shiftingMake mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0
