marin bobcat suspension upgrade

Hi can anyone give me some advice on what shocks I should be looking at for a 2011 marin bobcat, I'm not after info on which brand to get but the size"s as I'm a bit confused, the standard shocks are surtour xcm hlo with 100 mm travel if that helps, cheers

Probably 200 at the most, probably go second hand, will any forks fit, are the diameters of the fork stems all the same,0

Nope steerer could be straight or tapered, and two different sizes of straight. If you buy second hand you also need to make sure the steerer tube is long enough.

Cheers for the info mate, probably best if I buy new then, how could I tell if it's tapered or not0

Take your existing fork out, and measure the steerer tube length whilst you are at it. You can buy second hand then.0
