Hi all,

I ride a 2008 FSR which I have completely rebuilt, I'm looking for a strong wheelset.

I'm looking to get a different wheelset, I will supply links to both and hope a few will steer me in the right direction.
My needs are qr standard front and rear and both sets can do this, I ride towpaths, streets with wife and 5 yr old, I ride trails and I like to jump a little ( the odd little jump on the trail, not rampage lol ),

The 1st set here is the easton ea70 xc,

I can get these without rotors cheaper than the asking ( £160 ) and I can cycle 2miles from my house to view and collect.

The other set is Halo 4x, I will have to bid and drive 40 miles, no prob tho.

Which would suit my needs?

Many thanks
Darrell

Of those two probably the halo. The likely reason the Easton has just had a new freehub is because Easton hubs are about as reliable as a chocolate fireguard.

  • Totally agree with Ben. The Halo build quality is usually excellent.
  • To both of replies, how much do you think the Halos will fetch, at the beginning he said £200 to end auction but I declined and will bid last minute.

    Cheers guys
