We're going here next weekend, does anyone know if there are any good routes ?
pity those who don't drink, the way they feel when they wake is the best they will feel all day

This may a bit late but the Long Mynd isn't far off. some really nice trails there, bishops wood is small but local and worth an explore, just watch out for motocross bikes and fallen trees, its seriously muddy there right now and i had to push about 50% of the time and i know the forest well. If you were gonna go you'd definitely need someone who knew the forest well to show you round. Obviously Cannock is pretty close, there's some good riding to be had up the Wrekin, excellent downhills but lots of walkers. There's a load of natural trails around anyway so just grab a map and get exploring!
