ok, so ive just taken my threaded headset on my apollo outrider to bits so i can clean and regrease the bearings. but i stupidly realised that i have no de greaser or grease, so ive taken the bearings, the locknut, and the adjustable race inside so i can check for wear and clean them, before i get grease tomorow. my question is will i be damaging parts by putting the fork back through the tube without the bearings inside. i havent tightened anything, ive just put the fork back on so the bike can rest on it until tomorow
