Hi, i am hoping to do some off roading but nothing extreme so i picked up an old Saracen Geiga bike off ebay the other week for £70. Not knowing overly much about bikes i give it a quick look over and took it. All in all its seemed ok up to now but when you compress the front forks they rebound instantly and you hear a clunk as it hits the unloaded position. So for example if i go off a kerb i will hear it return to its standard position before ive even dropped the few inches off the kerb!!! is this normal? there are firm and soft dials to spin on the top but i dont notice any difference. No signs of leaks etc.
This is a triple clamp fork i think they are called, if it is knackered do i have to buy triple clamp again?
many thanks in advance!
Ben

I doubt bits are still available for them, but you don't have to replace with triple crown, no.I don't do smileys.
