Am in the process of buying a new chainset I have a dura ace 11 speed 11x28 cassette.
my options are a standard 53x39 but I don't think ill need a big a gear as 53x11 so would you get a similar step in gears using the new 52x38 chainset?
And a bit of a curve ball I have ridden a compact(50x34 11x25) for the past few years and dura ace do a 52x36 but im thinking the gearing might be a little low with the 11x28 cassette?
all thoughts welcome

The gearing you need depends on your fitness and strength, and what terrain you ride - so really only you can tell whats right by comparing to what you already have.0
