2014 Domane or Synapse ?

Am thinking about buying an alloy bike for the fast approaching spring & summer which is designed for comfort and endurance to keep with my other race oriented models. Going to have a wander around various sellers to try out the 2014 domane and synapse models specifically. With big miles in comfort being the main focus , those who have tried both bikes which one knocked your socks off to a greater degree ?

    The 2014 synapse has disc breaks, I am not sure on these and also limited upgrade potential of the wheels, plus increase in weight.

    Not rode the synapse, but domane is my winter ride.
    Nice comfy bike, not too heavy, but standard wheels are papers so I would budget for a replacement.
