Surely there are at least three good reasons already.

Canyon Roadlite Al 7.0 - reborn as single speed!

I've been trying to wean myself off it for years, but every now and again they drive some very nice car through some beautiful scenery and i sit down and watch it again.

    It may be funny

Bear in mind that Richard Hamster is a cyclist, and Clarkson recently bought a bike

It's just a hill. Get over it.

The other one rides too...but we all know it's gonna be a pee take of cyclists and will no doubt contain lots of stuff to beat us (to death) with...

Kerrist, lets at least give them a chance! Hammond and May have long been cyclists, most of what Clarkson says is tongue in cheek anyway.

We all know it's not a motoring programme, but an entertainment show with cars (ish) as the subject matter anyway!

I loved James Blunt's comments last week.

JC: I bought a bike and look what good it did me

I've managed not to watch any of this series because it is just too irritating. This is from a (partially reformed) car nut that has been in he motor trade dealing with specialist cars all his working life. Saying that I believe they had the Alfa 8C on last week so I might have to watch that. I'll try to watch the cycling bit.
With regards to James Blunt's comments, I've heard him interviewed before and for someone that makes such awful music he comes across as a really good bloke.

I tend to find the car stuff unless its a somehow different or interesting car well boring, has to be said JC does take the persona too far into twitter....

I'd imagine it's not hard to come across as a decent person when you're up against JC

He genuinely does come across as a funny guy. His voice is super anal and nasal, and he isn't afraid to really take the piss out of himself as he knows that's how he's perceived in public

Closer to the truth. He's only interest is the money (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) and I know that he's fucked over a number if people to ensure he amasses as much as he can from that show and it's spin offs.

The Touring version. Clarkson spouted some nonsense about how the Carrozzeria all went out of business with the demise of the separate chassis and then spent 10 minutes ten minutes telling us how beautiful the car was without providing one single shot that actually showed properly what it looked like. I kept (nearly) screaming at the TV - "But what does the bloody thing look like?" Alas, I wasn't to find out......

Asprilla: I think that coriordan and Red Trouser Rick were talking about James Blunt (who was a guest on last weeks show) while you appear to be talking about Jeremy Clarkson.

Watched that bit last night. It did look nice, but he does talk a load of cobblers (no surprise there). He prattled on about style influences and Disco Volante being the name of a boat in a Jame Bond film. But no mention of the original Alfa Disco Volante which is clearly the design influence.

Sorry about the car based complaint. I'm sure the cycling feature will be even more inaccurate if what's vaguely a car show can't get car facts right.

I see they have roped Boardman into the episode to comment on the film they make.

Good, a bit of sanity. I really hope they don't waste an opportunity to make a valid point to the great unwashed. Unfortunately I think any message may well get lost in arsehattishness.

It's going to end with the conclusion that it's bloody dangerous so we should all stay off the roads, if we get hurt it's our own fault. I reckon.

Hardly a surprise cars left them lots of room, The motorbike with a guy on the back holding a TV camera made them stand out a bit. Could have been worse I suppose.

I think it took exactly the correct measure of urine!

Shame he couldn't get Boardman to admit that sometimes it's actually safer for a cyclist to run a red than wait for the stampede but he's had his media training.

That Porsche though, amazing, finally a car that make Hybrids sexy. If only the internal combustion engine and motor both ran on hydrogen...
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.
