Upgrade for an Alpina 1 1/8th Integral headset

The original Alpina 1 1/8th Integral - 45*45 headset on our Dolan Mythos needs to be replaced. Can anyone recommend a suitable upgrade that includes star nut etc (as its an aluminium steerer).

This headset has lasted no more than six months, albeit very well used, so was considering whether worth paying a bit more to get something smoother and longer lasting?
