What shock is it. Coil shocks range from extremely crap to extremely good.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

It's the Marzocchi Rocco R coil rear shock, I'm torn between buying 2010 Giant Reign x2 for £950 or brand new boardman fs 2014 for £900?!0 -
Rocco R isn't great. I would rather the Reign than a Boardman. That one might be a bit overpriced at £950Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

now you have thrown a spanner in the works, this or the boardman fs 2014?0 -
The Boardman has better components but the Giant has a really excellent frame which will last forever and take as much abuse as you can give it. It has extremely efficient rear suspension as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I had a Reign about 8 yrs ago and didn't like it much - too short & the Meastro suspension felt spongy - but I guess it changed a lot since then. TBH I much prefer the other options mentioned & would choose the Boardman over it any day.'Happiness serves hardly any other purpose than to make unhappiness possible' Marcel Proust.0

8 years ago would have been the completely different older design with the heavier and flexy pierced down tube. 2010 or later models are really very good.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
