Hi all,
I just collected this yesterday. After all the debates on road bikes with disc brakes I decided it was for me.
I wanted a bike for longish rides with a few good hills thrown in.
At 100kg it is not worth chasing grammes off a bike. Rather, good (low) gears for going up, and good brakes for coming down.
Brief spec.
Shimano 105 compact with 11 - 30 gears
Brakes TRP HY RD
Weight 10 kg.
Short rides yesterday (15m home from shop) and today (26 m ).
It is great.

Nice, after I finish my current winter build and seeing his it rides. I fancy selling off my summer frame and looking I to a carbon road frame.
I'd be interested in your thoughts in those TRP brakes!!Cipollini Bond

Nice bike for real world riding.
What does it weigh?0 -
The brakes are excellent. Although I am benchmarking against unbranded calipers on a 4 year old Claus Butler. (Although upgraded with Swiss stop pads). On hills where I would have previously have dragged the brakes both in wet and dry, today in the wet I was confident to let the bike gather speed and then reduce back to 15 - 20 before letting go again.
My mate is now worried, he used to rely on the descent to catch back up after going uphill.
Weight is stated as 10kg.0 -

This is a 56.
I am 5'10" with a 33" inside leg.
It feels a bit longer than what I am used to, but the bars are a bit higher to compensate. The compact drops are much more usable than what I am used to.

Nope - Claud Butler's lesser-known German cousin....0 -
Nice bike, got one myself as a winter bike but only used it twice due to the recent better weather. I'm sure that will change though with the British weather !!
Nice stable and balanced ride with good brakes, just a little heavy, approx 10Kg :-/0 -
That shed or hut looks a smasher...
Does it need a treatment though.0
