I have just got some 1.5" city jets to try out for the commute which I'm hoping to tackle everyday this week. Has anyone had experience of going down to 1.5 from 2.25 they seem very skinny, I had to get some new inner tubes as the only ones I had were 1.75+ which just didn't fit.

Hoping they will be good and speed up my commute a bit, although I know my fitness will make the biggest difference.

  • I had some 1.5 before I got my road bike, better rolling resistance, and check the pressures, mine could go up to 85psi, which is what I took them too, and for the weight if a MTB, they made everything a lot easier!!

  • Good good, mine say 80psi max which I took them too but I only have a gauge on my car pump, and I let loads out when releasing the valve.

I will try my little mtb pack pump to see if I can get them up much more with that.
