Ok, ready to place my order for a set of hand built wheels.
Body weight is 70kg and looking for a fair weather wheel for those longer rides and (hopefully) a little easier on the climbs which aren't my strong point.
Revised budget is allowing for H Plus Son Archetype rims with Novatec a291 / f392 hubs. Only decision left to make is whether to go 20/24 with Sapim laser on front and laser/race on rear or 24/28. It was suggested to go laser only on the rear but other seem to advise against this?
Your thoughts please.

Lower spook counts can visually look more appealing.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

I agree hence my quandary it trying to decide :? Looks or stronger.0 -
Stronger... You want climbing wheels so stiffer is better.
Also make sure they're at least 2x front and rear0 -

But may lead to ghost shifting.
OP, 8 spokes doesn't add much weight.0 -

As the build weight for either option is significantly cheaper than the stock wheels I've ruled it out of the decision making.
I think I am already veering more towards the 24/28. Is full laser ok for a 28 spoke rear in this instance or is laser/race the way to go?0 -
Front wheels are almost all overbuilt compared to rear wheels, so split the difference and go 20/28.0
