Decided to treat myself to a new bike on the bike 2 work scheme.
Already had a planet x uncle john cyclocross bike and decided to stick with planet x as for the money i didnt think it could be beaten, transfered a few bits over from my current bike (stem, saddle, bars, wheels). Absolutely love the bike and a massive step up from my old kinesis racelight.
Plan is to get into triathlons this year and ease back on the running and get out on the bike more. Havent got out on it too much yet and spacers still need sorting out and steerer may need cutting down but all in all i bloody love it.
FRAME - planet x rt57 matte black carbon, medium
SADDLE - prologo choice
GROUPSET - shimano 105, 5700 series
BRAKES - shimano 105, swisstop pads
SEAT-POST - easton ec80 zero carbon
HANDLEBARS - profile design cobra carbon
STEM - profile design cobra
WHEELS - 3T accelero
BARTAPE - arundel gecko

Hi,
Nice bike really like the colour scheme on those - enjoy!0 -
Nice bike, Interested as to why yours has internal cabling yet the pics of the frame on the planetx website has external. Is this a newer model and they have yet to update there pics?0
-
I think the picture on the website is of an older model and they havent updated it yet, it does say in the info that it has full internal routing but like you i had noticed it wasnt fully internal on the picture so wasnt entirely sure what i would recieve !0

Is it the pictures or is the saddle point skywards?Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Saddle is level, just the dodgy camera angle !0

I had an RT57 last year, they ride great and look rather nice, shame I crashed mine. Forks are especially nice with the understated scheme of the rest of the frame and the deep red on the inside.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did mine0 -
Hi
Nice looking bike have the same frame on the way
Building it with Sram Force22.
Just wondering what weight did your build come in at?
Need new wheels as well and wondering if I can get away with the weight penalty of running something deeper like your 3T wheels or Fulcrum Quatro's. Pretty much set on getting Campy Zonda's though seem best bang for buck0 -
To be honest i havent yet got round to weighing it ! Will try to over the weekend and let you know0
