9sp Chain choices

Looking for a new 9 speed chain. I normally go for an SRAM pc991 chain, but want to know what other decent (and durable) chains people recommend.
I've liked the powerlink on the SRAM chain's as it means I can take the chain off for proper cleaning when I want to, and I've heard KMC have a similar option.
I haven't heard good things about Shimano chains (or have they gotten better). I know they don't have a powerlink type connection (but have heard you can use a powerlink in a shimano chain without a problem).
Any suggestions?

You can use the powerlink with any, but why bother when KMC are better.I don't do smileys.

Before I changed recently I asked a guy I work with who does silly (IMO) road miles and he's firmly in the SRAM camp. Of course off road miles could affect different brands differently, but a PC991 just went on my bike and they're £16 at CRC right now so smiles here0

Lots of roadies use Campag stuff.
Decent KMC are about £11.
I've snapped Shimano and Sram, but never KMC, FWIW.I don't do smileys.

+1 for KMC. I use the X9.93, get them from these guys:

i use shimano chains usually the xt or xtr if on offer, never had a problem until recently when a new pin in the chain broke and now i use either sram powerlinks or kmc links with the chains.
i dont get why shimano dont just use a quick link system over the fiddly and pain in the arse pins to join a chain up.0 -
I used both the SRAM 971 or 991. Both are very strong and reliable.Bikes are OK, I guess... :-)
