Hi
Im looking to upgrade my shimano R500 wheel set that came with my Roubaix. They are ok but heavy and not very stiff. However what i do like about them compared to my old Mavics is the freewheel is almost silent which is much more pleasant.
So i am basically look for a lighter, stiffer better looking wheel set for the spring/summer.
Ultegra 6800 wheel set, Fulcrum racing 5's ?
Any advise would be great
thanks
Tom

Its helpful to know how much your weight is & what type of riding you want the wheels for before people can suggest wheelsets. 8)0

With that budget you can get some nice wheels like Campy Scirocco or if you stretch your budget a tiny bit more get some Campy Zondas...
Both stiff.. and most importantly look great.

I have the Ultegra's as my winter wheels. Very reliable, cheap and bomb-proof, but hardly lightweight.0

Ugo and cycleclnic both post on here - both do wheel builds.0

Personally I think the Ultegra wheels are the best you can get for the money. Pretty much Dura ace wheels in build.0

Apart from the rims and hubs that is. I think I would save a few quid more for the RS80/81 wheels. Ultegra hubs with carbon wrap Dura-ace rims and just lovely to ride at the OP's weight range.0 -
If you are looking at quattro's I would save a little longer and get Fulcrum 3's0
