Cycling clubs in/near watford.

Hi guys,

Really sorry if this isn't the place to ask this, I deemed it the best part of the forum, but if I'm wrong, very sorry.

I'm moving from Staines to Watford, NW London and am after a cycling club. I went on one club ride with the Hounslow and District Wheelers in Staines and had a great time but due to moving its unlikely I'll be able to go with them. I did a google and quite a few came up, but was just wondering if by chance anyone had any experience and could recommend a good one? I'd say I'm a moderate fitness cyclist.

I'm part of London Phoenix. We cycle out of Finchley/Whetstone area. That may be too far fo you but on Sunday rides we often pass Verulam club (http://www.verulamcc.org.uk/) which are based out of St. Albans and sometimes see the Gregarios (http://www.gregarios.co.uk/)

Some great riding around here ( I was Watford based not just out in Kings Langley) either our beyond Hemel to Ashridge estate and Ivinghoe beacon etc or up the Chess Valley, through chipperfield and out to Chesham and beyond. Plenty of hills!

I dont do clubs, but would echo comments see Verulum and Gregarios out and about.
