Hey guys, I've got back into cycling recently, I've had a 2009 Kona Kula for the past few years. I'd really like to get a cyclocross bike but can't justify it at the moment, but I'm looking for some tyres to make riding my kula more enjoyable! Most of my riding is on roads/canal paths and on a disused rail track the cheshire lines http://www.allertonoak.com/images/Chesh ... olland.jpg
Would these tyres be suitable!? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/schwalbe-marath ... 5360444486
I'm thinking the 26 x 1.25 - would this be a good idea? could anyone recommend some inner tubes to go with them, please?
I'd like to run this set up for a year so then i can finally justify myself a cross bike!
The reason I bought a Kula was i used to do the Marin Trail all the time with my friends as a fitness thing - but now we never go anymore - might be lucky to get there once a year!

They are perfect for what you are riding , a little heavy but offer good puncture protection.0

Marathons are very heavy and a real PITA to change, they also offer quite a lumpy ride due to the stiffness of the tread belt, but they are next to unpunctureable which is a big plus.
Personally I'd go with a skinny MTB tyre with solid centre tread like a Smart Sam.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Like you cycle mostly country lanes roads etc so I went for these 800+ and not a puncture in slight http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-Schwalbe- ... 08419974330
