So I went and bought this!

Ragley Marley

Totally standard so;
RS sektor TK 140mm
SRAM X7 groupset
Elixer 1s etc.

first time using sram and I have to say, gear changes are right on the button. Just gotta get used to Push/push config!

Just did some exploring for a first ride:

Bog and sludge central out there today

Love it so far!

Plans:
New Grips
Deore Brakes
Ride until something breaks, preferably the bike and not me.

Nice, they're a bargain in the sales too!
  • Cheers Guys.

Yeah it was either this or a canyon FS but decided I still wanted the low maintence/take it anywhere thing of a hardtail for now, and like you say in the sales looked a good deal!
  • Little update, changed a few things. Got a good deal on 2nd hand Nukeproof Generator wheelset, not a mark on them  and some Deore M615 Brakes and ESI grips. May get a wider bar aswell, options?

(I dont sit that low normally :) )

Did have have a big off today as its been 3 or 4 rides since I last crashed, so it was coming!

Im sure it's a great ride but that paint job is a bit marmite. It's not to my taste.
    Nice build though.

I know what you mean about the colour, but I wouldn't say I hate but I don't love it

I kind of wish they didn't do the whole marley rasta thing, just keep it plain with the Ragley logo would have been better, but its a great bike so cant complain.

I'm not sure I'm getting on with the ESI grips, they seem to give me more hand/arm fatigue than the standards :?

May get longer handlebar, any cheaper alternatives to a fatbar?
  • Just get the Renthal's if they are the bars you want! Cheaper in the long run when you spend £40 on the bars you don't want then £60 on the bars you do because you regretted it!
  • Just ordered a fatbar from CRC. Will post a pic once its on :)

Just to let you know they are cheap as chips from the Germans, how much you pay from CRC? I only ask as I'm about to order one!

Nice to see another Marley! I got my frame from CRC for £99 so too good to miss even in this colour!

coincidentally I have Renthal fatbars (lite) fitted, highly recommended.

I like that and i think why their are some people that aren't to keen on the decal style is because it's a bit eightish looking but i think that makes it cool looking and renthal is pretty good quality imo :) ..

Errr damn, sure I checked the site a few weeks ago and couldnt find them. I bought normal fatbars for 53 or something.
    42 on Bike discount

Ah well, ordered them now, I don't think I will be sticking with 780mm, prob more 760/50

@paul380 your Ragley looks great mate, I need people to tell me to snap out of it because Im thinking of buying a FS
