Shimano R501 rim cross section
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this. I am a university student and am currently carrying out an engineering project into the load distribution of bike wheels which could lead to improve bike wheel designs in the future. I have been testing a Shimano R501 wheel and need a diagram/photo of the rim cross section to get information about its structural properties (cross sectional area and second moment of area).
I have tried contacting Madison to get the information but they didn't know and were not willing to give me any contact information for someone at Shimano to take my queries further.
I was wondering if anyone has some helpful information or could suggest somewhere else I could find it.
The only other way of getting this information is to cut my wheel which isn't much of an option.

best bet would be to try and find a spares or repair wheel...0
