Advice on Frame comparison

Hi,
I laid off cycling for two years and want to get back in. I have a 2003 Trek 5500 w/ DA group and am looking at an almost new Specialized Tarmac Expert frame to swap the group over to. A little bit of this has to do with starting out with a newer frame...but I am wondering...is there going to be that much difference in the two frames, ride wise? I certainly would hope so. I am open to anyones thoughts on this.
thanks

It'll certainly be better but what is your budget as there are some excellent deals out there.0

What is a budget...right? Well, I don't want to get all crazy, because I know my limitations are not going to be frame related. But I am always interested in "excellent deals".0

Westbrooks have some scott frames at 50% off, or if you're interested in getting the best frame you can then look for something really exclusive, a look, cippolini, parlee, eddie merckx etc.0
