My Tarmac SL4

After messing around with a different brand (2 cracked frames within 6 months and a lot of wasted time trying to get them sorted) I decided to go with a brand that has a bit of better reputation and, more importantly, a better back up service should things go wrong again. So, here is my Tarmac SL4.

Spec is:

Specialized Tarmac SL4 frame/forks in a 56cm
Campagnolo Chorus 11 gruppo with a Record chainset (50/34 & 12/15)
3T ARX stem
3T Ergonova bars
Zipp SL post
Specialized Toupe pro saddle
Arundel mandible cages
Shimano Ultegra pedals
Mavic R-SYS SLR wheels
Mavic tubs

Comes in at 7kg dead on which I don't think is too bad. Couple of things I need to change like the headset top cap & getting rid of those awful red cable ends but here's some pics.

  • Lovely that. Really light too.

Quite tempted by a 2014 Tarmac myself.
  • Just got back in from the first 70km ride on it. Very, very fast! Fits very well also, excellent climber, far too good for my tired legs!! Highly recommended!

Bike looks awesome - that colourscheme looks the business!
  • That looks lovely!

Even the red end caps - although I would lose the top cap and go for a 'cooler' version :)
Allez 16 - bad weather / turbo trainer
Tarmac Expert SL3 - test colours
Dogma 2 - ex Team Sky

Yeah, can't say I'm too in love with that top cap! Got a nice looking sunken Deda one lined up which should improve the look.

Nice, reckon we're splitting hairs though if all that's wrong is the cable ends and top cap

    Really like that!

Functionally, nothing. I'm just not a fan of how it looks. A bit "cheap" if that makes sense? You can have it once it's replaced if you like?
