Fitting SRAM X01 cranks with Hope BB

Hi,
I am trying to fit a set of X01 cranks to a 73 Hope BB using the appropriate Hope GXP conversion kit.
The question is…., I have a 2.5mm spacer on the drive side as per most 68/73 BBs for use with Shimano cranks. The instructions for the cranks indicate that for a 73 shell there should be no spacers but that is with a SRAM GXP BB. The crank spindle is 8mm shorter than the Shimano HT2 XT cranks I have taken off.
So, do I leave the spacer on and does the non-drive side crank end it sitting flush with the Hope GXP converter?
Thanks,

What are the bearings fitted by Hope?
GXP BBs do not use any preload so no spacer on a 73mm BB.
what do Hope say?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

They don't mention about the spacer, just to use the GXP adaptor kit.Get dirty, have fun, ride bikes.0

I've done this with other gxp cranks, you use one spacer. (Or at least I have for several years without issue)0
