Just bought some shimano acera disc brakes for my Vulcan build - cheap I know but it's a budget build for a work hack or might make it my wife's bike.

Anyway the discs say resin pads only. Does this mean I can't use organic or sintered pads??

Thanks

Chris

Use what ever you want. If they are squeaky sintered often are a better option. Resin are organic.

Can you recommend any after markets if these pads aren't up to the job please?

  • Due to a breakage using these brakes this week in dalby and have no spare pads for it.

Do I go sintered organic Kevlar?

Personal preference, but I like the Kevlar.
