"Tinkling" chain
Got a problem that happens with 2 different rear mechs so its probably the shifters...
If I shift from the smallest sprocket through all the gears one by one, everything is smooth, but when I click once off the biggest sprocket to the next one, I get a light "tinkle" noise from the chain, I know it is being "pulled" up a little because if I screw in the barrel adjuster a tiny bit, it gets rid of that tinkling noise - but then of course back on the smallest 2 sprockets it will not change up from the smallest sprocket to the next one.
Is this just because I am using "entry level" shifters?
That tinkling only happens on sprockets 2/3/4 and possibly 5. On 6/7/8 it is alright again.
b-tension is screwed in so the jockey wheel just about doesn't rub. Will screwing the b-tension in and making the mech open out more on the last sprocket help? I am not a mechanic but I think that makes it worse doesn't it? I mean makes it worse on the smaller sprockets.
Might just take it to my LBS and say here, check every nut and bolt. Like a mini-service.

Kinda fixed it by giving it more of a shove on the upshift.
Just put a brand new chain on, drivetrain is nearly silent.0
