Best grease for BB bearings?

I want to clean and re-grease my BB bearings but not sure which grease to use, also do I need to put grease on the crank spindle?

If you don't fall off you're not trying hard enough!

    Pretty much any Teflon bike grease will be fine, and it doesn't hurt to grease the spindle.
