i am looking to spend £1000 max on a full suspension bike. The two bikes ive seen are cannondale rz120 3 2012 at pauls cycles for £900 or the boardman fs 650b from halfords £1000. Can anyone give me advice on what would be best. Many thanks

Go for either the Canondale or a 26" Boardman. No idea what they have done with the 650b Boardman but the geometry feels wrong, it feels a bit twitchy, doesn't hold a line well and just doesn't ride that well. It should have been better.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

That's rather at odds with what the reviews are saying:

I am leaning towards the boardman 650b,but for another £200 i could get this ( Vitus Bike Gravir I Suspension Bike 2013 ) chainreaction. This has better spec I think, more than £200 worth?0

They gave the win convincingly to the Boardman in the What MTB group test of direct buy bikes recently, with a 4.5 star rating (second place went to Canyon).0
