Possible sale and possible purchase

Hi, i am looking for some advice please.
I bought a Giant Yukon FX1 bike a couple of years ago from a friend of mine. I planned to use it primarily for commuting to work, and off road. Shortly after i moved house so have ended up only going off road about 5 times.
I wondered approximately how much it would be worth to sell now? It was used off road occassionally for a couple of years by the previous owner, and for 2 years in all weather for me to commute. There is some surface rust on some bolts and some marks, but overall fair condition for the usage.

I was considering replacing it with this Giant bike. Seems like a good price, and removes the rear suspension which might be better for commuting, assuming its lighter.

Feel free to reccommend other items. Its worth noting that i commute 5 days a week on road at 10 miles total per day. I would like the option of off road use (plus being able to use it in poor conditions for commuting during the winter). I wont be upgrading it, only maintainting it. I wanted to spend £300ish on a new bike, which i know wont get me anything special.
Thank you in adavnce for any advice.

Just above your post - rules. Specifically rule 16.
As for the Giant - cheap but horrible, useless forks.

Fair point, i didnt read the rules. My apologies. Therefore please disregard my query on whats it worth.
Instead, would the Rockrider 5.3 be considered a better bike than the curent Giant i have for..
a. Commuting
b. Off road
Thanks again0 -
The Yukon is a decent bike, I'd be tempted to keep it.0

Not an ideal commuter though.I don't do smileys.

Neither is the rockrider, same weight. Up the air in the rear shock for the road.0

The yukon is a cracking bike, a mate runs 120mm reba's on his with shorter stem, wider bars etc, and it is a great bike to ride.0
