There's no such thing as dedicated 29er road tyre.
Any 700C 28" (same size as 29er) tyre at least as wide as the rim will fit.
E.g. 28mm tyres will easily go on 28mm (external width) rims.

Plenty of choice from racing to touring and urban tyres out there.
For general use something with more volume like Kojaks, Marathon Racers, Big Apples or Supermotos will offer similar speeds and much more comfort (and fun) than narrow racing tyres.

Any 700C for sure, be careful as there are 2 different 28" standards, one is the same as 700c, the other is not!

    I have these in 37mm on my DT Swiss X470 29" wheels and they're excellent for the price - http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/TYVTRANPII ... lding-tyre
