Ultegra 6800 cassette compatibility with CN9000?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to run the CS6800 Ultegra cassette with the Dura ace CN9000 chain?

I am assuming you can as both are 11spd and I believe both are narrower than the 10spd variants but would just like to check and see if anyone on here has done it?

    Yes. 6800 and 9000 cassettes are compatible with all 11 speed Shimano groupsets (9070,9000,6870 and 6800). I have the specific combination you mention on one bike and it runs absolutely fine. You can also run SRAM 11 speed cassettes with Shimano 11 speed groupsets.

    I believe you can also run an 11 speed chain on a 10 speed setup? Although not sure why you would want to.

    If you can't tweak the FD to avoid cage rub then using a narrower chain will solve the problem.

    All other things being equal, the narrower chain will be lighter in weight too.
