current running Elite plastic

Just wondering if you recommend a light carbon job?

Blackburn Camber - not cheap but lifetime guarentee and available in gloss or matt and lovely in the flesh.

    Holds bottles really well too.
    Yellow is the new Black.
  • My Zipp cage is pretty good. 22g iirc.

tacx tao - carbon is 29Gr. £72 on Wiggle.

    plastic - 33Gr £6 or so.

The plastics always worked well for me - and not lost a bottle yet.

+1 - tacx tao, good enough for me
  • I got some cheap carbon ones from this seller on ebay, took about 2 weeks to be delivered from Hong Kong.

IIRC the Elite plastic ones are lighter than some carbon ones.
  • Arundel Mandible in carbon. Thought the box was empty when they arrived as they're so light and they hold bottles without any hint of movement or rattling. Bit pricey but you can get good deals on eBay. Recommended.
  • Planet X carbon 22g, £19.99 or 2 for £34.99 either matt or gloss finish

Another vote for the Arundel Mandible.
As said, a bit pricey and there are ones a couple of grams lighter but look great and hold the bottles really well.

cheers. Just ordered the Arundels. There were a few on ebay but I'm a tad wary they are fakes so went with wiggle.

If you want light then one of these, the bottles are tapered slightly so you need the correct ones. Hold the bottle very well, in fact too well with the taper so can be tricky to take out on the move.

Got one for fun really (and picked up in a sale for £5.00 may have been £10 but certainly no more), hardly ever use it due to holding the ottle too well but put it on the bike for club hill climbs as I only need the bottle on the ride out and back, leave the bottle off for the actual race climb. Then promptly come middle of the pack, but it's the taking part.
