are they any good? my 2010 Fox Van 36's are knackered and I'm on a tight budget. I've been looking second hand but then I saw these new for £329 at merlin.
the 2013 model has pretty good reviews but I've not seen any for the 2014 model.
Cheers

I think there quite heavy about 2.5kg which is a lot.
Id have alook at a pair of revs for that price.
here is a review of the 2012 fork http://www.bikeradar.com/mtb/gear/categ ... -12-46123/
struggling to find anything on the 2013/14 model0 -
Revs are only 150mm though.
Anyone else run 150mm on a nomad?0 -
looking at the weight in the specs of the 55r and my van 36 they're pretty much identical in weight so I wouldn't notice it. :?0

I do want pikes but forking out close to £700 is a lot of cash! :?
Have you used the 55r's rocket monkey?0 -
I have ridden a 66r which is the bigger version.
Its a good fork. Limited adjustment but good damping.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
160mm Lyrics?
Can get pikes for around the £520 mark, depending what your steerer requirements are!0 -

Yeah I've looked at lyrics too. My frame will take a tapered steerer as it has 1.5 head tube, just need to change the headset.
But £330 - £520 is a lot when you're skint, but I guess pikes will be lighter and perform better so would probably be worth it.0 -

It is, but then if in 6 months you look to upgrade again it'll cost you more
If you can keep the current forks going for a bit longer I would.. use them in the shite weather and see if they die then re-assess!0 -
so, another question.
I have a hope step down headset in. stepping down from 1.5 to 1 1/8th.
do I need to replace the whole headset if I get a tapered steerer or just the bottom cups/section?0 -
